After 8 years of not working together, Swizz Beatz and Nas finally reunited and blessed fans with a fantastic work of art, the song “echo” features cuts from the 40-year-old’s Poison album.
And has an artistic video which was premiered for a private audience on Wednesday (Dec. 12, 2018)
The song has Nas flexing his lyrical muscle with razor sharp contents, something we have heard him do on his 7 track Nasir album. as it is, we think the interest to make that heart hitting story line kind of rap song that he is know for has finally found him. even swizz seem to think the same thing , in October 2018 during an interview with Billboard swizz said “I think Nas is in a good space,——“I’ve heard him now talk about music more than I ever did. It’s kind of hard to get him in the studio but he’s like, ‘Yo, send me this’ or ‘Yo, are you in?'”
check out quotes from the song
We was Times Square pioneers, 40 deuce, 40-below boots
40 ounce brew, the true Bishop from Juice
Runnin’ wild, loose, me and my 40 troops were stupid
Style, it was snorkel coats, Polo gooses, ruthless
Goons and wolves, bail-jumpers
Everybody from everywhere
They was tryin’ to jump us for pumpin’
True story, my youngins, I’m a deadly thuggish Fredly Douglas
Military persona, yeah, I’m livin’ with honor
To my niggas who servin’ 40 while I’m in my 40s
Swizz Beatz album is Star-Studded, the ‘Poison’ has Kendrick Lamar, Nas, Pusha T and lots more.
