The figure is now making it one of the biggest openings of all time in the US.

The essence magazine reported on its blog post that ;

Black Panther was first projected to make between $100 million and $120 million in its opening weekend. Those projections were quickly re-adjusted to about $160 million right before its release this week.

Film enthusiast believe the film will bring in more as the time progresses as it surpassed all expectation set for it. The impact the film is expected to make within the black community is evident on how well received the movie is Africans and none Africans consider the film a perfectly timed icing on the cake an achievement that needs to be topped with strings of replication. Black activist see the film as a cultural piece drown from the rich west and central Africa (which most of the African Americans come from)

The record set by black panther is unbelievable but expected essence magazine write that ;

With its record-shattering $192 million debut for the three-day weekend and a projected $218 million for the full four-day holiday, Black Panther is only second behind The Avengers as one of Marvel’s biggest debuts. The Avengers earned $207.4 million in its first three days, and Black Panther could still surpass The Avengers’ four-day gross of $226.3 million depending on Sunday and Monday numbers.

Africans are not totally big fans of cinema but it has been reported that the movie had a  successful debut within Africa as audience where delighted to be apart of it. Meanwhile  The flick amassed  an approximated  $169 million in its global debut.
